Discover the stars with the Lèbe observatory! It has advanced equipment, fun workshops and welcomes you day or evening. Observations, planetarium, Way of the Stars, and many activities are offered. .
What if we took the time to observe the stars? The Observatoire de la Lèbe in Valromey sur Séran, in the Bugey Sud region, is a unique place in the Ain region, where you can learn about the galaxies, the stars and the planets through fun and exciting astronomical activities.
All year round, the Planetarium Observatory of La Lèbe offers you :
Planetarium sessions: Take a seat under an air-conditioned dome with reclining seats and embark on a spectacular digital journey through the Milky Way.
Duration: 1 hour. Sessions at 2pm and 4pm from Monday to Saturday (summer and school holidays) and at 3pm from Monday to Friday the rest of the time.
Among the 4 screenings, come and discover our new film: Voyager, a breathtaking show with breathtaking images!

After each planetarium session we offer you the opportunity to observe the sun live.
Observation evenings for everyone:
- Evenings of "night observation" to discover the sky with the naked eye and telescopes...
- Family evenings" experience the magic of shooting stars and constellations in the planetarium and continue with an observation with instruments.
- Celestial legends" evenings between the planetarium and observation of the real sky, discover the tales linked to the constellations.

Ouverture
From 4 January to 4 July, open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
From 5 July to 4 September, open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 1pm to 6pm.
From 5 September to 16 December, open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
All year round, planetarium sessions at fixed times:
- at 2pm and 4pm during school holidays
- at 3pm outside school holidays
Before coming to the observatory, it is advisable to contact the observatory by telephone to make sure that the sessions will be held or to consult the online calendar on the website.
Exceptional closures on Easter Monday, Ascension Thursday, Whit Monday, May 1st and May 8th, July 14th and August 15th and November 1st.
Closed during the Christmas holidays.
