TAKE TO THE HEIGHTS IN AN UNSPOILT NATURAL ENVIRONMENT !

The Sur-Lyand / Grand Colombier Nordic Area (1,250 m) is the perfect place to enjoy a whole range of winter sports (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, etc.) and exceptional views over the Alps and Mont Blanc. Through the seasons of ever-changing colours, come and cycle up the legendary Grand Colombier mountain pass, featured in the Tour de France cycle race, in a protected Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA). Alternatively, you can explore along the hiking or mountain-bike paths, or follow the orienteering and interpretative trails.

The multi-activity Nordic area boasts 17 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails with areas set aside for diagonal skiing and ski-skating, 20 kilometres of snowshoeing trails and a beautiful sledding slope.

The Sur-Lyand Nordic centre has a ski section where you can pay the fees and rent equipment for cross-country skiing (classic, ski-skating and ski-touring) as well as snowshoes and sledges.

A freely-accessible picnic room with 100 seats is open during the winter period and can be rented outside the skiing season.

You can eat at the Belvédère de Sur-Lyand panoramic restaurant.

Bookings and information at Haut-Rhône Tourisme (snow cover, fees, weather conditions, opening of trails).
