HIKING FOR EVERYONE !

Just a short distance from Annecy, Aix-les-Bains and Geneva, the Haut-Rhône boasts a whole host of hiking possibilities with waymarked trails to suit walkers of all categories. Some of the gently-sloping loop itineraries across tranquil countryside can be covered in a day or half-day.

The Haut-Rhône is also known for its three emblematic mountains: Vuache (a listed Natura 2000 site), Montagne des Princes and Grand Colombier (a listed Environmentally Sensitive Area). All these mountains are criss-crossed with hiking paths for all walking levels to satisfy families and seasoned hikers alike. The scenery is magnificent and the views from the mountain tops are absolutely stunning.

You can explore on foot, by mountain bike, on horseback, or even in a horse-drawn carriage along one of our waymarked loop trails. Or you can try an electrically-assisted bike (Ebike) on the geoguided loops that have been created to explore the Usses Valley, the Semine plateau and the ViaRhôna cycle path.
