Le tour du Vuache
VulbensA propos
A long walk around this picturesque Jurassic mountain range. Between the Ecluse passage and the village of Chaumont, Mount Vuache provides a striking contrast with forest to the east and rock faces to the west.
A trail suitable only for experienced walkers. It runs goes around Mount Vuache via the six villages of Vulbens, Chevrier, Clarafond-Arcine, Chaumont, Savigny and Dingy-en-Vuache. The very marked difference between the cool, wooded north-eastern slopes and the warm, sheer south-western side ensures remarkably diverse flora and fauna. Breathtaking views of the peaks of the Jura mountains, the Geneva plain and the Salève range. Wear hiking boots and suitable clothing in wet weather.
A free leaflet is available on request from the Syndicat intercommunal d’Aménagement du Vuache (SIAV).
